Personal Injury Membership Upgrade Disclosure

Version: Personal Injury Membership Upgrade Disclosure v1.0

Effective date: 2 September 2026

Scope

This disclosure applies when an approved MatterPath organisation with an active Standard Organisation Membership or Founding 10 membership adds Personal Injury & Compensation. Administrator approval stages the upgrade. It does not activate the personal-injury profile or alter the organisation's other approved practice areas.

Immediate A$299 monthly membership

Personal Injury Advertising Membership is A$299 per month. It begins when the immediate prorated Stripe invoice is successfully paid and the target subscription evidence is verified. There is no personal-injury founding discount.

Exact credit and amount due

Before acceptance, MatterPath displays a Stripe preview for the proposed change. It records:

  • the exact credit for the unused part of the current A$99 membership period, which may be A$0 because of timing or rounding;
  • the exact prorated Personal Injury Advertising Membership charge;
  • the exact total amount due in Australian dollars;
  • the proration timestamp used to calculate that credit and amount; and
  • Stripe's preview dates for the expected first A$299 monthly period.

The Price, credit, amount due and proration timestamp are revalidated immediately before the subscription update. The displayed period dates are preview dates, not a promise of the exact renewal timestamp. Stripe assigns and reports the authoritative new monthly renewal period when it applies the change. That period may begin moments after the preview time and is the period MatterPath records after signed Stripe evidence is verified. An expired or monetarily changed preview must be recalculated and accepted again. A transition cannot apply the same credit twice.

Activation and incomplete payment

Personal Injury & Compensation remains inactive until MatterPath has verified signed Stripe evidence for the paid invoice and the subscription using the A$299 monthly Price. If payment fails, requires further authentication or remains incomplete, the personal-injury upgrade stays pending and the organisation's current non-personal-injury services remain live while billing is reconciled.

Founding memberships

For a Founding 10 organisation, a successful upgrade ends the founding subscription schedule. No later A$99 annual renewal or A$99 monthly founding conversion remains scheduled. The Founding 10 place remains permanently consumed and is not returned for allocation to another organisation.

MatterPath retains the original founding Price, transition Price, paid-through date, conversion date and schedule evidence so the original schedule can be reconstructed if the external schedule release succeeds but the subscription update does not complete.

Mixed-practice charging

The organisation's other approved practice areas remain active. For an eligible non-personal-injury standard-introduction matter, the accepted-introduction fee remains the higher of A$40 or 10% of the organisation's verified standard one-hour consultation rate shown before acceptance.

Personal-injury, compensation, medical-negligence, motor-accident, workplace-injury, abuse and similar matters never create an accepted-introduction, per-claimant, per-lead, per-matter, unlock, claim-value, legal-fee or outcome-based charge.

Fixed advertising membership

The A$299 monthly membership is fixed payment for public directory and profile presence, advertising visibility, platform and account tools, and consumer-directed contact and disclosure functionality. It does not purchase access to a particular claimant and does not guarantee enquiries, introductions, clients or revenue.

Cancellation and statutory rights

The organisation may cancel in accordance with the Law-Firm Participation Terms. Nothing in this disclosure excludes, restricts or modifies a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Required acceptance

I confirm that I am authorised to upgrade this organisation to the Personal Injury Advertising Membership at A$299 per month once this prorated payment succeeds. I accept the exact Stripe-calculated credit, which may be A$0, and amount due displayed and recorded with this acceptance. The displayed dates are Stripe preview dates. Stripe assigns and reports the authoritative monthly renewal period when it applies the subscription change, which may begin moments after the preview time. Personal Injury & Compensation will activate only after successful payment. Our other approved practice areas remain active, and eligible non-personal-injury accepted introductions continue to incur the higher of A$40 or 10% of our verified standard hourly rate. Personal-injury and compensation matters never incur an accepted-introduction, per-claimant, per-lead, per-matter or unlock fee. Membership does not purchase access to a particular claimant and does not guarantee enquiries, introductions, clients or revenue. I agree to the current Terms applying to everyone and Law-Firm Participation Terms, and acknowledge the current Privacy Notice.
